Yonok Foundation

The American‐Thai Foundation, a U.S.‐based 501(c)3 organization, along with its primary beneficiary based in Thailand, Yonok Foundation, was founded in the 1980s.  In 1988, American-Thai Foundation and Yonok Foundation successfully founded Yonok University in Lampang, Northern Thailand.  

Since inception and subsequent maturity of the University, Yonok Foundation is still a force of change in northern Thailand.  The Foundation continues to create social change through education‐centric programs such as scholarships, educational exchanges with colleges in various countries, advocacy, and literacy campaigns.  In addition to its ongoing programs, Yonok Foundation is embarking on bold new initiatives to empower Thais through entrepreneurship development and education in less‐developed provinces in Thailand.
